Fibonacci

The aloe plan is truly amazing. See how perfectly its leaves are arranged. It earns "thumbs up" for 5 distinct spirals growing outward in the counter-clockwise direction. So why does it earn a "thumbs down" as well? Because the number of spirals in the clock-wise direction should be an adjacent number on the Fibonacci sequence, either 3 or 8. Try as I might, I don't see that. Although the leaves are thick, they are still much broader. This gives it much more spirals in the clock-wise direction, somewhere around 18.
