It may be hard to see, but the many petals of the rose grown in a spiralling pattern. Each petal grows 137.5° past beyond the last. That like 23 minutes past the hour on the clock or the distance from the 12 to about half-way between the 4 and 5. See the picture near the thumbs-up for an depiction of spiralling growth with each petal 137.5° apart.

Where does the 137.5° come from? Where is the connection to Fibonacci numbers? That angle is 1/ϕ of a full circle and ϕ is the approximate ratio between adjacent Fibonacci numbers (the approximation gets better as the numbers get larger).
