Fibonacci's Golden Gallery

I haven't tried to count the petals on these flowers and I think the hazards of nature would prevent Fibonacci numbers of petals even if the plant tried. It is entirely possible the petals grown in spiralling order, but I leave that for you to decide. Instead, I chose these as an example of how the central disc is structured. You will see the disc florets arranged in the Fibonacci spiralling pattern. The sunflower is the most famous example of this, but it is just one of many, chosen because its size makes the pattern easiest to see.
